Mustafa Baser – President
Chemical engineer by education, serial-entrepreneur by trade, Mustafa Baser leads the BETA team with a polished track record.
Ahmet Tayakısı – Partner
With his finance and banking background, Ahmet Tayakisi provides depth to BETA team with his analytical and risk-management skills. Working together with Mustafa Baser for almost 40 years, Ahmet Tayakisi coaches and helps BETA’s management team on a daily basis.
Hasan Baser – Partner
With a degree in marketing in and management, Hasan Baser started his apprenticeship alongside Mustafa Baser and Ahmet Tayakisi immediately after college. Hasan Baser serves on the boards of BETA’s investments and works together with the management teams on a daily operational basis.

Brand Building Success
Formerly known as “Baser Kimya”, ABC Deterjan has a joint venture history with Colgate-Palmolive between 1980-1995. As the joint venture dissolved, ABC Deterjan continued to bea formidable player in the Turkish market in addition to its activities in the CIS countries, and the Middle East. Today, ABC Deterjan is one of the leading producers of household cleaning and personal hygiene products in Turkey, while exporting to over 40 countries in the region.
Ability to move Quickly
Founded in 1999, Olvia-Beta was a joint venture between ABC Deterjan and local Ukrainian partners. Olvia-Beta’s phenomenal success in the household cleaning and personal hygiene products, with leading brands in all categories, led to Olvia-Beta’s acquiring by Proctor & Gamble in 2005. Detergent brand “Gala”, today operated by Proctor & Gamble, is still the leading brand in Ukraine.
Opportunities Knock
Influenced by the vast corn fields of Ukraine and the investment opportunity corn processing would offer, BETA established Intercorn in 2004 to produce sweeteners for the food and beverages industry. Briefly after commencement of production, local and international companies immediately showed interest to acquire Intercorn. Shortly after, Intercorn was acquired by a large Ukrainian industrial group. Today, Intercorn is the largest and most modern corn-syrup sweetener producer in Ukraine.
Quality to International Standards
As the Ukrainian real estate market boomed in the 2000’s, BETA identified an opportunity to serve the market’s need for PVC profiles for windows and doors. Founded in 2006, Miroplast became the largest producer of PVC profiles in 2012. Today, Miroplast is still the largest producer of PVC profiles in Ukraine, with the leading brand WDS. Exporting its products to Europe and the CIS region, Miroplast continues investing in its plant and technology in order to strengthen its position as a regional power.
