Journey of a Leading Brand
ABC Detergents, formerly known as 'Başer Kimya', entered into a joint venture with Colgate-Palmolive from 1980 to 1995. Following the successful run of this partnership, ABC Detergents has continued to thrive as a key player in the Turkish market while expanding its presence in the CIS countries, North Africa, and the Middle East. Today, the company exports to over 50 countries across the region and stands as one of Türkiye's premier manufacturers of household cleaning and personal hygiene products.
Agility & Resilience
Founded in 1999, Olvia Beta is a joint venture established with ABC Detergent and local Ukrainian partners. The extraordinary success of Olvia Beta in household cleaning and personal hygiene products with its leading brands across all categories culminated in its acquisition by Proctor & Gamble. Today, “Gala,” a former Olvia Beta brand managed by Proctor & Gamble, is still the leading detergent brand in the market.
Seizing Opportunities
Inspired by Ukraine's vast corn fields and the investment opportunities offered by the processed corn industry, BETA established Intercorn in 2004 to produce sweeteners for the food and beverage industry. Shortly after the transition to production, Intercorn successfully attracted the interest of local and international companies. Soon after, it was acquired by a large congloromate based in Ukraine. Today, Intercorn remains the largest and most modern producer of corn syrup sweeteners in Ukraine.
International Ambitions
As the Ukrainian real estate market boomed in the 2000’s, BETA identified an opportunity to serve the market’s need for PVC profiles for windows and doors. Founded in 2006, Miroplast became the largest producer of PVC profiles in 2012. Today, Miroplast is still the largest producer of PVC profiles in Ukraine, with the leading brand WDS. Exporting its products to Europe and the CIS region, Miroplast continues investing in its plant and technology in order to strengthen its position as a regional power.
